Yuzvendra Chahal and his achievements

Yuzvendra Chahal and his achievements

Budding sportsman and cricket enthusiast Yuzi Chahal is a man on the rise. With an original score of 361 at 13 years old, he became the youngest cricketer in India to play Test matches. At 14, he scored over 500 runs in a single game, and ten years later, at the age of 24, he left Ranji Trophy as its all-time leading scorer with 10 788 runs for Mumbai Cricket Club (MCC) in just 109 innings. In 2010, his scores included 333 for MCC against Maharashtra Cricket Association XI and 300 for MCC against Maharashtra U-25s side.

He played at the Under-13, U-15, and Under-19 levels in his junior cricket days, captaining all three teams. The Ranji Trophy team he represented was Mumbai, which won the title in 2007. Although a medium pacer by trade – one of his coaches was former India pacer Joginder Sharma – Chahal’s ability to move the ball both ways made him unstoppable. He scored consistently more than 300 runs in every season that he played for MCC’s first team. He is also a left-arm spinner and has taken over 100 first-class wickets.

Yuzvendra Chahal became known after he took 34 wickets in the National U19 Cooch Behar Tournament in 2009, the highest number of wickets of any player at the tournament. Chess player Chahal, who played for India at the youth level, made his first debut in Haryana the same year and was signed by the Mumbai Indians for the IPL in 2011.

The following season, despite having not played a game, he was selected for Mumbai’s Champions League T20 team. As a result, he enjoyed a lengthy run in the Champions League, appearing in the starting XI for every match, and shining in Mumbai’s win in the final after a 3-0-9-2 outing. Aside from that game, however, he did not play any more games for Mumbai over the next two years. From 2011-12 onward, he took 16 wickets in just eight appearances in the IPL, similar to his troubles in domestic cricket.

Yuzi Chahal is a Mumbai-based cricketer who began his cricket career at a very young age. His first major achievement was when he led the Under-13 Mumbai team to the final of the 1999–2000 Pepsi Indoor Championship in Chennai, where they lost to Delhi Under-13s. His performances in this tournament earned him a place in the Maharashtra Under-14 team, which won the national championship later that year. At the time, he was playing for Studland Cricket Club, where his coach was former India fast bowler Joginder Sharma.

Begging Of Yuzi`S Cricket Career

Yuzi Chahal began his career as a bowler, bowling medium pace. However, his ability to hit the ball off the middle of the bat meant he was generally used as an opening batsman and one day cricketer. He made his first-class debut in a Ranji Trophy match between Mumbai and Saurashtra on 16 November 2003 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Although he conceded 68 runs in 24 overs without taking a wicket—batting at number 8—he scored an unbeaten 90 to help his team win by innings and 49 runs.

In September 2006, a couple of months after completing his B.Com degree from the Ruparel College in Matunga, Mumbai, Chahal was promoted to the opening position for Mumbai in an inter-state one-day game against Gujarat. In the first innings, he scored 100. However, he was promoted to open in the second innings and made just 10. The selectors were impressed with his performances and decided to promote him to open with Wasim Jaffer for a match against Karnataka during their ongoing Ranji Trophy campaign.

IPL career

In 2008, at the age of 21, Yuzi Chahal became the youngest player to play test cricket for India against West Indies at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. He scored 16 and 2 in that match. At just 21 years and 192 days, he is also one of the youngest Indian cricketers to play test cricket for India. In 2010, he played two games for Pune Warriors in IPL. He is also playing for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2013 and Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2014. He is said to be playing for the team of Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2022.

In the first 14 league matches of his career with RCB, he played in every single one. Axar Patel was awarded the Emerging Player of the Year award instead of Chahal even though Chahal had only taken 12 wickets. As a player, Chahal took 44 wickets over the next two years and soon became one of the most important members of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team.

During the 2018 season, he overtook Vinay Kumar to become the most successful wicket-taker for the Bangalore club. Kohli & AB de Villiers were retained by the Royal Challengers Bangalore just before the auction in 2018 but Chahal was acquired back by the Bangalore franchise through the right-to-match (RTM).

IPL 2022

Has the signing of RR’s most interesting signing in the 15th season really been that impressive? With both Ashwin and Chahal in their ranks, has RR formed a winning combination? By signing wrist-spinner Chahal, the key player of Team India’s limited-overs team, RR has ensured that they stay at the top in terms of the bowling attacks. A top wicket-taker in the National U19 Cooch Behar Trophy, Chahal took 34 wickets to finish the tournament as the tournament’s top wicket-taker.

A former standout performer in the finals of the Championship Twenty20, he joined the MI squad in 2011 and played with them through the season. RCB’s Chahal, who has been with the franchise since 2014, played his first T20I for Team India during that tour to Zimbabwe in 2016 and was subsequently given an opportunity to face England.

As a result, he has been considered only a bowler who can defeat batsmen because of his variety. RCB could not retain Chahal, so he was sold to RR for Rs 6.50 crore. Chahal was the match-winner on his day, but not one that could be kept.

Yuzi Chahal – T20 Cricket?

In the 2011 World Cup, he was part of the Indian T20 Squad. He played three matches in that world cup. Yuzi Chahal, on 27 March 2012, played his first-ever Twenty20 match for Mumbai Indians against Pune Warriors India at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad, and was also recalled for India’s tour to England. He finished with bowling figures of 3/33.

In IPL 2014, playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore took 21 wickets with an economy rate of 6.48 runs per over.
