Irfan Pathan pro career
Born 27 October 1984 in Baroda, Gujarat, India, Irfan Pathan is an Indian cricketer. In addition to playing left-handed, he is a medium-fast left-arm bowler. Although primarily a bowler, he was often instrumental in some notable knocks at the bottom of the order.
At a very young age of 13, he made an impression in junior cricket. At an age well below the limit of U-14, U-15, U-16, and U-19, he represented Baroda in these teams. Additionally, he represented India at the U-15 level. His performances kept improving as he batted and bowled brilliantly.
Following that, he was selected for the U-22 team. He scored 44 against Saurashtra and returned a 4/71. After seeing his performance in the IPL, the selectors elevated him to the team of India’s Emerging Players.
Low points
His performance has not been consistent since the World T20 win. There were instances when he was not included. Although the selectors were convinced that he had talent and skills, his poor form prevented him from being selected consistently.
It seems like he has tried a few comebacks with the Indian team without lasting. It seems like he has also struggled domestically. Against South Africa in 2012, he made his last appearance for the national team. Since then, he has not played for the national team again.
Club career
In 2005, he represented the English county Middlesex. Aside from that, he has only participated in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Since the commencement of the IPL in 2008, he has spent three years with the Kings Eleven Punjab. Later, he swapped clubs and spent three years with the DD.
His efforts in IPL were also unimpressive. As a result, he has had to change his teams every year after that. He was a member of the SRH in 2014, the CSK in 2015, the RSP in 2016, and the Gujarat Lions in 2017.

Having won three IPL titles with the Hyderabad team, he joined the Devils team for two seasons.
He kept changing teams every year because he did not perform well in the IPL. Irfan Pathan played his last IPL game for Gujarat Lions in 2017 before playing for Chennai Super Kings in 2015.
As a batsman, Irfan Pathan has made 1339 runs and taken 80 wickets in 103 IPL matches.
